
Prabhas starrer The Raja Saab finally hit the theatres on January 9 after facing multiple delays. The film opened with mixed reviews and is earning a decent collection at the box office.
According to a trade website, The Raja Saab earned Rs 27.83 crore net in India on Day 2 of its release. The film’s total now stands at Rs 90.73 crore net in India. The film registered an overall 44% Telugu Occupancy on Saturday.
The film opened in the theatres with Rs 53.75 crore net in India. The Raja Saab is also enjoying a decent run at the global box office, as it earned Rs 138.4 crore worldwide net and Rs 30 crore net overseas. Meanwhile, the film’s collected Rs 108.4 gross in India.
The movie received criticism for a number of reasons, including some parts from the trailer that weren't included in the actual movie. In response to criticism, the film's producers organised a press conference in Hyderabad on Saturday to talk about the movie and revealed that it now includes new scenes with Prabhas looking older.
Fans of Prabhas flocked to theatres to see the movie's opening day performances. Fans were heard yelling and hurling confetti during the introduction scene, song sequences, and crocodile battle scene, among other scenes, in videos from inside the screenings that appeared on social media.
