Prabhas fans once again proved their strong loyalty during the digital release of The Raja Saab on JioHotstar. The OTT giant put in a lot of effort to promote the film as much they can and have achieved it as well. Hence, the fans of Prabhas sent a full box of biryani parcels to the head of JioHotstar as a gesture of love and appreciation. This generous gesture from them attracted traction online and became a talking point across entertainment platforms.

The reason behind this fan gesture was the promotion done by jioHotstar for the film's OTT release. Back in time, during the pre-release event of The Raja Saab, director Maruthi spoke very highly about the film. At that time, Prabhas fans showed their excitement by sending biryani packets to Maruthi as a friendly and celebratory gesture.

However, after the film was released and turned out to be a disaster at the box office, the situation changed. Some fans reportedly sent multiple biryani packets again but this time without paying for them which created trouble and embarrassment for the director. Now again Prabhas fans sending biryani packets to Hot star is making waves in social media.

Meanwhile, when the film premiered digitally on February 6, the JioHotstar platform faced technical issues due to heavy traffic. Many users reported glitches and difficulty accessing the app, as lakhs of fans logged in at the same time to watch the film. The sudden rush caused the platform to slow down and even crash for some viewers.

According to reports, the digital premiere of The Raja Saab created record-breaking traffic on JioHotstar. The film had already been released in theatres in January, where it opened big but later saw a drop at the box office. Despite this, the OTT release created fresh buzz, mainly because of Prabhas’ dedicated fan base.

JioHotstar later released an official note explaining the situation. The platform stated that it witnessed an unprecedented surge in traffic, especially due to a very high number of users clicking the “Remind Me” option before the release. The streaming service assured viewers that its servers were upgraded to handle the load and deliver a smooth viewing experience. The team also thanked fans for their love and support.
