Actor Teja Sajja, who became well-known with Prasanth Varma's 2024 hit HanuMan, has fueled rumours that he had left the movie's upcoming sequel. Fans believed the rumours to be true despite the lack of official updates from the makers.
However, Teja has now clarified the rumpus and revealed that he is still a part of the project.
The initial reports claimed that Teja reportedly left the film, alleging "limited screentime" and "creative differences," and distanced himself from PVCU (Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe). Additionally, it was said that he had become cautious about his responsibilities.
In a conversation with Hindustan Times, Teja called the reports "false news" that he was no longer a member of Jai Hanuman.
The actor previously confirmed his appearance in the sequel. In an April 2024 interview with the outlet, Teja stated that he is eager to begin filming the sequel, which would centre around Hanuman (the God, not his heroic persona).
He said, “I will also be a part of Jai Hanuman (the sequel of HanuMan). The film will be all about Lord Hanuman, but I will be a part of it.” He also expressed his excitement and noted that he can’t wait to be on the set.
Rishab Shetty will play the title role in Jai Hanuman, a follow-up to HanuMan.
HanuMan ended with Teja's superhero of the same name witnesses Lord Hanuman emerge from the Himalayas, marking the start of a major conflict. It was revealed in October 2024 that Rishab had been cast as Hanuman in the movie.
The movie hasn't yet been floored. The movie is a part of the PVCU, which will also include Adhira and Mahakali.
