Vijay Deverakonda is all set to star in the upcoming Rowdy Janardhana, and the makers have just released the first look of the actor in an announcement video.
Vijay looked unrecognisable in the new look as he is seen covered in blood in the movie Rowdy Janardhana. He is shirtless, wearing a dark lungi, carrying a machete, and has thick hair and a moustache in the first look of Ravi Kiran Kola’s directorial film.
The filmmaker also unveiled a poster featuring Vijay with the caption, “Biography of a wounded MAN. ROWDY JANARDHANA.”
Meanwhile, the announcement video was captioned, “See HIM, hear HIM, Remember the NAME.”
The video shows Vijay hacking through men for standing up against him. The actor then said, “Kalingapatnam lo intikokka l***akoduku nenu rowdy ni ani chepuku tirugutunnadu. Kaani inti peru ne rowdy ga marchukunnodu okkade unnadu (Every son of a b***h in Kalingapatnam goes around calling himself a rowdy. But there’s only one who changed his surname to it).”
The dialogue seems to be a reference to the way he calls his fans "Rowdy." The title of the movie and the name of his character, Rowdy Janardhana, are then revealed by Vijay.
In addition to changing his appearance, the actor has given up his characteristic Telangana twang in favour of a more rustic accent for the movie.

Vijay even sent his followers a video message. He told them how much he missed seeing that movie with them while covering his face with a palm. Additionally, he disclosed that before releasing it to the public, he asked producer Dil Raju to film his initial glimpse for admirers.
Rowdy Janardhana is slated to hit the theatres in December 2026.
Vijay is also gearing up for his upcoming movie with Rahul Sankrityan, which is currently in production.
