The Konidela family welcomed Sankranthi this year in the most heartfelt way possible — by slowing down, gathering together and celebrating Bhogi at Chiranjeevi’s home in Hyderabad.
Far from the glare of film sets and public appearances, the morning was all about family, food and familiar traditions that have remained unchanged over the years.
The festive get-together felt less like a celebrity event and more like a warm family reunion.
Niharika Konidela gave fans a glimpse into the celebrations by sharing moments on Instagram, showing how the cousins came together early in the day to cook, chat and simply enjoy each other’s company.
For the Konidelas, Bhogi wasn’t about grand arrangements, but about being present with one another.
The kitchen quickly became the heart of the celebration, turning into a cheerful dosa station. Posting a video from the morning, Niharika jokingly wrote, “Bhogi? More like Dosa day! What’s important is that we bond as a family and keep our traditions alive!” The clip captured the easy comfort the family shares when they are together.
In the video, Vaisshnav Tej takes charge of the dosa pan, while Varun Tej teams up with his wife Lavanya Tripathi at the stove.
Niharika ladles out sambar, moving around the kitchen with ease. Ram Charan, clearly in a playful mood, teases Sai Durgha Tej as he enjoys his morning coffee, nearly making him spill it. Later, Ram Charan steps in to try his hand at making dosas himself, as Upasana Kamineni Konidela watches with an amused smile.
Outside, in the cool, misty courtyard, Chiranjeevi and Naga Babu sit back and wait for breakfast, listening to the laughter and chatter drifting from the kitchen. The mood throughout the morning is relaxed, affectionate and full of warmth, reflecting the true spirit of Bhogi.

Continuing the traditions, Sai Durgha Tej and Varun Tej also shared photos from the early morning bonfire, a ritual that symbolises letting go of the old and welcoming fresh beginnings with Sankranthi.
Although the family usually celebrates together, Allu Arjun was missing this year as he is currently in Japan for the January 16 release of Pushpa 2: The Rule.
The festival also coincided with a proud professional moment. Chiranjeevi is the only family member with a Sankranthi release this year, as his comedy Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, directed by Anil Ravipudi, arrived in cinemas on January 12.
The actor later watched the film in Hyderabad alongside Ram Charan, Varun Tej, Lavanya Tripathi and Sushmita Konidela, bringing the festive celebrations to a joyful close.
