As was said before, Jio Hotstar, a top OTT platform, has signed a high-value deal to stream the movie. Chitrambhalare recently posted on X that the digital rights have been sold for a huge Rs 80 crore.
The deal includes all of the film's major language versions, such as Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. The deal is said to include a performance-linked clause in addition to the base price, which makes it even better for the makers. According to industry rumors, Jio Hotstar will pay an extra Rs 10 crore for every extra Rs 100 crore that The Raja Saab makes at the box office after it crosses Rs 200 crore in worldwide gross collections.
The OTT deal gives the film's producers some breathing room, since the movie cost more than Rs 400 crore to make. The Raja Saab started off strong and did well in its first few days, but its box office momentum has slowed down a lot since then. The movie has made over Rs 250 crore around the world, but it has been hard to make money because it cost so much to make.
The Raja Saab, directed by Maruthi, stars Prabhas as Raju and has a large cast. Sanjay Dutt, Zarina Wahab, Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan, Riddhi Kumar, Samuthirakani, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Jisshu Sengupta, and many other well-known actors play important roles in the movie. Some of these actors are Vennela Kishore, Brahmanandam, VTV Ganesh, Satya, Prabhas Sreenu, Yogi Babu, and Saptagiri. Thaman S wrote the music and background music, and Karthik Palani and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao did the editing and cinematography, respectively.
The Raja Saab is likely to get a second chance on the digital platform now that its OTT deal is in place, even though its theatrical run is coming to an end.
