The buzz around Prabhas’ upcoming film Fauzi continues to grow, with new updates keeping fans firmly hooked.

What was already one of the most anticipated projects on the actor’s slate has now gained even more momentum, thanks to fresh details about its scale, structure, and release plans.

According to a recent update shared by Telugu Film Nagar, Fauzi is aiming for a Dussehra 2026 theatrical release, giving audiences a clear date to circle on their calendars.

The festive window only adds to the excitement, especially for a film of this magnitude. Adding to the intrigue, director Hanu Raghavapudi, who is currently filming the project with Prabhas, has already confirmed that Fauzi will be told in two parts.

Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, Fauzi marks a major collaboration between the filmmaker and Prabhas. Known for his emotionally layered storytelling and visually rich worlds, Raghavapudi has carved a niche for himself with films that blend romance, history, and strong character arcs.

The first look of Fauzi was unveiled on Prabhas’ 46th birthday on October 23, instantly sending fans into a frenzy. The striking visuals hinted at a powerful historical drama, and since then, curiosity around the film has only intensified.

Hanu Raghavapudi also revealed that while the first part focuses on one chapter of the protagonist’s journey, the second part will function as a prequel, exploring a very different emotional and ideological side of the character.

According to the director, the prequel is designed to shift perspective — not simply repeating the story, but peeling back the layers to reveal the man behind the uniform. By watching both films together, audiences will gain a deeper understanding of Fauzi’s world and its complex central character.

Raghavapudi has also shared his desire to portray Indian freedom fighters and revolutionaries as heroes defined by strength, conviction, and idealism, rather than as figures of tragedy.

Set against the backdrop of India’s freedom struggle, Fauzi sees Prabhas playing a soldier in the Azad Hind Force in a fictional narrative inspired by real history. The film also stars Imanvi as the female lead, alongside Mithun Chakraborty, Jaya Prada, and Anupam Kher in pivotal roles.
