Reports say that actress Sai Pallavi is in talks to play M.S. Subbulakshmi in the biopic. Allu Aravind is said to be producing the project under the Geetha Arts banner, and Goutham Tinnanuri, who is known for making emotionally charged movies like Jersey and Malli Raava, is directing it. People are already very interested in the movie because it is being made by a well-known production company and a sensitive director.

Sai Pallavi is widely considered to be one of the best actors of her generation, and she has always been picky about the roles she takes. She is currently working on one of the biggest projects of her career, Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana, in which she plays Sita.
