As Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu gears up for its Sankranti release, early Twitter reactions from viewers who’ve seen portions of the family entertainer paint a nuanced picture — praising certain elements while expressing curiosity and mixed opinions on others.

Many social media posts describe the first half as “passable” and engaging in parts, especially noting Megastar Chiranjeevi’s energetic performance and trademark comic timing.

One viewer wrote that the film “#ManaShankaraVaraPrasadGaru Passable 1st Half!  Starts off a bit shaky but gradually gets better. Good music and an energetic performance by Chiru with his trademark timing stand out. Comedy works in bits. Nothing out of the ordinary, but it stays watchable so far. Another comment added that “comedy works in bits and the songs are well-placed.”

Another user wrote, “#ManaShankaraVaraPrasadGaru Review. Good #Chiranjeevi looks good #Nayanthara & rest of the cast are good too Comedy scenes, especially between Chiru & Nayan works decently Music 2nd half is the key.”

“Konni comedy scenes really worked, but rest is flat and lag,” wrote one praising the comedy scenes.

Another user wrote, “#ManaShankaraVaraPrasadGaru - decent first half but predictable. The core concept appears to be inspired by #KamalHaasan’s #AvaiShanmugi - a divorced dad wants to reconnect with his two kids, his ex-wife is the daughter of a rich businessman. Cinematography is top notch, editing and music is good. #Chiranjeevi’s dialogues and comic timing are great (his first family man role since Daddy) but the mass moments/elevation scene are not that effective apart from that one scene where he takes revenge on local rowdy for slapping his kid. #Nayanthara has excellent screen presence and does well. Some scenes and dialogue are misogynistic like encouraging men to harass their in-laws. Looking forward to the second half.”

“A terrific start to the movie –  #AnilRavipudi presents Boss at his best. The intro fight followed by the Hook step is a feast for fans and audiences,” one user wrote.

Overall, the early Twitter energy suggests a film that may appeal strongly to festival crowds and core fans of Chiranjeevi, thanks to its hook step moments, musical beats and moments of light humour.

Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu is releasing on January 12th across the globe with special premieres on the 11th night.
