A Kannada and Telugu television actor has filed a police complaint in Bengaluru alleging sustained online sexual harassment by an unknown man over the past three months. The accused, identified as Naveen K Mon, has reportedly been arrested, according to an NDTV report.
The actor, who works in both Kannada and Telugu serials, alleged that the harassment began when a man operating under the Facebook ID “NAVEENZ” sent her obscene messages and videos through Facebook Messenger.
Despite initially ignoring his messages and declining his friend request, the situation escalated as the accused continued to send explicit content and vulgar messages. When warned to stop, he allegedly created multiple fake accounts to continue the abuse, sending sexually explicit photos and videos to the actor.
According to the complaint filed at the Annapoorneshwari Nagar Police Station, the harassment had continued for months before the actor decided to take legal action. She reportedly confronted the accused in person near Nandan Palace in Nagarabhavi on November 1 around 11:30 a.m., demanding that he stop his behavior. Although he appeared to back off temporarily, the harassment allegedly resumed soon afterward.
Investigations revealed that Naveen K Mon worked as a delivery manager at a global technology recruitment agency in Bengaluru. Following his arrest, the police are examining his online activity and the multiple fake profiles used in the harassment.

The incident highlights the growing menace of online sexual harassment and the challenges victims face in identifying and stopping offenders who exploit digital anonymity. Cybercrime units in Bengaluru have been receiving increasing numbers of complaints involving social media platforms, fake profiles, and explicit digital content.
In a separate but equally disturbing case, the same day witnessed another incident of sexual harassment in the city. A 33-year-old woman was allegedly subjected to public indecency while walking her dog. According to her complaint, a man in his 30s called out to her as “Madam” to draw her attention and, when she turned around, began to publicly expose himself and masturbate. The complainant stated that the man deliberately targeted her to outrage her modesty. Shocked, she ran home with her dog and later informed her sister and friend before filing a police report.
