
Jatin Sarna is all set to share screen space with the superstar Rajinikanth, and it was like a dream-come-true moment for the actor.
The actor, who starred in Sacred Games, talked about how it felt unique to collaborate with Rajinikanth once more after the 2020 movie Darbar. He said he had been dreaming about the encounter for years.
In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Sarna called the collaboration “a manifestation that played 2x," adding “Many won’t believe but it’s true that for years, I have had Rajinikanth sir’s framed photo from the movie Kaala above the door in my living room where it’s written ‘Kya Re’.”
He further noted, “For me, it has been an inspiration, like what are you doing man! It was then I got to do Darbar and now this sequel, which is actually 2x."
He added, “I grew up watching him and have so many memories attached to Rajini sir. The bright side is, I got great exposure in the South Indian industry. I learnt and spoke Tamil. Much to my surprise, I got a compliment that I was able to adapt to it."
Sarna talked about how he grew up watching Rajinikanth's films and expressed his appreciation for the legendary performer.
Sarna responded that he was not aware of any reports that connected him to potential sequences with Shah Rukh Khan in the production.
He clarified, “I have wrapped my shoot, and I am not aware of any such development, so I won’t be able to comment on that."

Besides Jailer 2, Jatin Sarna has a series of projects in his pipeline. He was recently seen in Madhuri Dixit’s film Maa Behen. Along with Ishwak Singh and Taapsee Pannu, he is also wrapping up work on the 2026 movie Gandhari.
Sarna is eager about MOMACU - Motor, Machis Aur Cutter, an OTT project in which he will once more play a key role, to be released.
