Actress Anupama Parameswaran, who works across Telugu, Malayalam and Tamil films, talked about a highly emotional and honest incident she had witnessed early in her film career. During the promotions of her film Bison, she talked about something that happened while they were filming the movie Karthikeya.

Anupama said that while she was shooting Karthikeya, she was near where the goats were housed. She was having fun, while playing with newborn goats during her break. She felt extremely close to them and liked how innocent they were. At that moment, everything seemed normal and calm.

That same day, she had lunch with the team. Everyone got mutton biryani. Anupama didn't think about it much as she ate the biryani. Her assistant grinned and told her something unexpected after lunch. He said that the meat in the biryani is of the same goat she had played with before.

Anupama said she got really upset as soon as she heard this. She stated she threw up right away because she couldn't stand the thought.

She couldn't handle the emotional torture and has never touched mutton again after that day. Anupama said that moment was incredibly upsetting and stuck with her for a long time.

Anupama remarked that this one thing impacted how she felt about non-vegetarian meals for a long time. She stayed away from mutton because the memories kept coming back.

Anupama recently said that she progressively started eating mutton again. She stated it took her a long time and a lot of mental power to get over that fear. She thinks that mending doesn't come quickly and that everyone takes their own time.
