Dulquer Salmaan announces Lokah sequel

Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra introduced India’s first-ever female superhero, smashing all the box office records. The film received positive reviews from the critics, and the makers have just given a green light to its sequel.

Dulquer Salmaan, who has also backed the film, has recently announced Lokah Chapter 2. The actor took to his Instagram and shared a poster featuring himself and Tovino Thomas with the caption, “Beyond myths. Beyond legends. A new chapter begins. #LokahChapter2.”

The poster featured the text, “When Legends Chill… Michael X Charlie.”

The video starts with Tovino’s Michael and Dulquer’s Charlie catching up over toddy at the safehouse. Michael asked Charlie why he doesn't give him a call occasionally, at least once every fifty or one hundred years. The latter informs him that Michael is dull after drinking, so he has no interest in it.

Michael replies, “This toddy is a basic treat for us chathans. Not just for me, but for my 389 brothers too, who are chronic alcoholics.”

Michael tries pointlessly to agitate Charlie when he disagrees.  "The first chapter is about her, My girl, Kalliyankattu Neel," he says, pointing to the book They Live Among Us, which is mentioned in Lokah Chapter 1-Chandra.

He mentions Charlie killing Hitler, implying that he is also in one of the chapters, while teasing that Chapter 2 is about him. Charlie, though, doesn't seem eager to talk about it.

When Michael gets serious, he discloses that his brother is violent and not "fun" like him. Additionally, he asserts that he is pursuing both him and Moothon (played by Mammootty). Charlie calls him "crazy" as well. Michael responds, "Bro, aren't we all a family?" when Charlie declines to handle his "family problems."

Directed by Dominic Arun, Lokah Chapter 1 is produced by Dulquer under Wayfarer Films productions.

Tovino will play the lead in Lokah Chapter 2, the sequel to the highest-grossing Malayalam movie, Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra. Kalyani Priyadarshan played Neeli/Chandra in the first movie, while Sandy played Nachiyappa, and Naslen played Sunny.
