Mohanlal-starrer Malayalam crime thriller Drishyam 3 is all set to hit theatres in April 2026, director Jeethu Joseph has confirmed. The team has already wrapped up filming, and notably, the film will release nearly six months ahead of its Hindi remake.

Jeethu Joseph announced the release timeline during a hospital inauguration event, where he revealed that Drishyam 3 will arrive in cinemas in the first week of April 2026. During his address, the filmmaker also urged audiences to watch the film without carrying heavy expectations.

As reported by Pinkvilla, Jeethu said, "Drishyam is a film that has influenced a lot of people over the years. It carries a huge weight of expectations within itself, and I ask everyone to watch it without any big expectations. The film will be available to watch in theatres in the first week of April. The official release announcement will be made soon. Additionally, on January 30, my other film, Valathu Vashathe Kallan, is releasing. I am confident it will be a good movie."

His confirmation comes shortly after the producers of the Hindi adaptation, starring Ajay Devgn, announced that their version of Drishyam 3 will release on October 2, 2026.

Speaking further, Jeethu added, “It will be a good movie; I am very confident. The teaser was released the other day. It’s not just Drishyam, you know; I am doing other films as well,” he said with a smile.

Drishyam 3 is the latest installment in the hugely popular crime drama franchise directed by Jeethu Joseph. The original film follows the story of Georgekutty, a middle-class man who lives a simple life with his wife and daughters.

Things take a dramatic turn when Georgekutty and his family fall under suspicion following the disappearance of IG Geetha Prabhakar’s son, Varun Prabhakar. As the investigation unfolds and clues begin to point toward Georgekutty, the film explores the truth behind the case and how the family navigates the mounting pressure and scrutiny.

The Malayalam version of Drishyam 3 also stars Meena, Ansiba Hassan, Esther Anil, Asha Sharath, Murali Gopi, and Siddique in key roles, reprising their parts from the earlier films.
