Akshaye Khanna has recently quit Drishyam 3 months before the filming was scheduled. Following his departure, rumours sparked that he had been replaced by Jaideep Ahlawat.
The producers have since moved on to their new schedule, which will take place in Goa next month, amid the news of his exit.
The cast and crew will jet off to Goa for a month-long shoot beginning on January 8, according to the producers.
It is anticipated that the schedule will remain in place until the end of February. Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Shriya Saran, and Rajat Kapoor will all be in the Goa schedule for this gripping family mystery.
Ajay Devgn plays a man in Drishyam who defends his family from the police after a murder occurs in his home. Shriya Saran and Ishita Dutta were also in the first movie, and Tabu followed them as the police officer.
In Drishyam 2, Akshaye Khanna plays a senior police officer who reopens the case. Akshaye won't be in Drishyam 3, but the rest of the cast will be back.
According to Kumar Mangat Pathak, Akshaye believed he should have received more money following the success of his most recent movie, Dhurandhar. In response to Akshaye's exit, the film's director, Abhishek Pathak, pushed him to try making a solo movie.
Akshaye's portrayal as Rahman Dakait in Dhurandhar won him great praise. The biggest blockbuster of the year is Aditya Dhar's action spy thriller, which stars Ranveer Singh. On March 19, Part 2 will be released in theatres.
Drishyam 3 is scheduled for release on October 2, 2026. Aamil Keeyan Khan, Parveez Shaikh, and Abhishek Pathak are the writers and directors of the Panorama Studios production, which is presented by Star Studio18. Alok Jain, Ajit Andhare, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak are the producers.
