Malayalam actor Azees Nedumangad recently shared a moment that seemed to be his personal life more than his promotional life, which made his followers think of a time that was way before movies, popularity or getting noticed.
While in Bahrain, the actor went back to the little shop that he had worked in as an expatriate close to 18 years ago. He was opening a very different door of his life which obviously had a great impact on him.
Posting a video of the visit on social media, Azees Nedumangad spoke about reconnecting with the place and the people from his past. In the caption, he wrote: “After 18 years, I went to the shop where I worked in Bahrain. The friend I worked with is still there. I was very happy to see him.”
In the video, Azees Nedumangad enters the shop wearing a face mask, dark glasses and a cap, blending in as just another customer. His former co-worker continues working, unaware of who has walked in.
Once they recognize each other, the response is immediate and from the heart. The two men beam, chuckle and tightly enfold each other with a hug, sharing a moment which seems to be beyond the reach of time. The friends off, the, cuff inquiry about when Azees got to Bahrain making the whole thing more real and touching.
Before becoming a recognised name in Malayalam cinema, Azees Nedumangad built his career through mimicry and stage performances, gradually finding wider attention through television reality shows.

His film debut in Thalsamayam Oru Penkutty marked the beginning of a steady rise, defined by sincere performances and relatable characters. Over the years, he has earned appreciation for his versatility and emotional honesty on screen.
His recent appearance in Kalamkaval, alongside Mammootty, further underlines how far he has come. Azees also featured in the critically acclaimed film All We Imagine as Light, directed by Payal Kapadia.
