Actors Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna officially tied the knot according to the Telugu customs today, on February 26. They will have a second traditional ceremony according to Kodavu customs later in the evening.
For the second wedding ceremony, Rashmika will wear Kodava style saree.
A source close to the celebrations revealed exclusively to Moneycontrol, “For the Coorg ceremony, the bride will drape her saree in the distinctive Kodava style, with the pleats at the back, honouring the region’s beautiful tradition.”
Meanwhile, the attire became more special as Rashmika's mother-in-law, Madhavi Deverakonda, gifted the Kodava saree to her for the ceremony.
For the first ceremony, Rashmika reportedly sported a stunning bridal trousseau.
“Rashmika’s bridal trousseau is expected to beautifully reflect tradition, with a thoughtfully curated collection of muhurtham and rich silk sarees forming an important part of her wedding celebrations.”
Rashmika has reportedly picked a traditional silk saree with South Indian wedding customs for the muhurtham ritual.
Soon after the Telugu customs, Rashmika and Vijay's team sent sweets to the paparazzi waiting outside the wedding venue.
Several videos and pictures of the sweets boxes went viral on social media.

The media representatives covering the event were personally given the exquisitely packaged boxes, which were embellished with festive motifs and flower prints. The paparazzi, who have been positioned outside the venue since the early morning, greeted the gesture with grins and appreciation.
The couple are yet to share pictures from their first wedding ceremony. Sources have suggested that they will not release the pictures on their social media until the Coorg ceremony.
Soon after the second ceremony, they will post pictures as a Collab post by the evening.
Rashmika and Vijay first collaborated on the 2018 Telugu hit Geetha Govindam. Their on-screen chemistry soon won over the fans. They reunited for another film, Dear Comrade, in 2019.
Rashmika and Vijay will soon share screen space in the upcoming period action drama Ranabaali. Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, which also stars The Mummy (1999) antagonist Arnold Vosloo in a key role.
