Dhurandhar’s Netflix release has given fans a new reason to revisit the film, and this time, the spotlight is not just on the story but on a curious detail buried in the end credits. Now streaming on Netflix, Dhurandhar invites repeat viewings, and it is during one such watch that a sharp-eyed fan noticed something unusual in the credits. Under vendor transportation, three separate vans were listed for Hamza Ali Mazari, the character played by Ranveer Singh. The listings read: “Hamza Van,” “Hamza Staff Van,” and “Hamza Normal Van.” The discovery quickly made its way to social media, reviving old chatter about the actor’s vanity vans.
For years, Ranveer Singh has been rumoured to use multiple vanity vans during shoots. While such stories were often dismissed as exaggeration, the Dhurandhar credits appear to back them up. Earlier, The Hollywood Reporter had reported that Singh uses one van for personal use, another as a gym, and a third for his private chef.
Adding to the intrigue is another small but telling detail. In the same credits, vanity vans for other actors are listed under their real names, such as “Madhavan Van” and “Arjun Van.” In Singh’s case, however, the vans are named after his character rather than the actor himself. This has led fans to speculate that the separation may have helped him switch between different physical and mental states, especially given his dual presence in the film’s layered narrative.
Fans reaction
The discussion around vanity vans is not new in Bollywood. Filmmaker Sanjay Gupta previously addressed the topic during a conversation on Cyrus Broacha’s podcast. Gupta revealed that several actors use multiple vans, sometimes for changing, makeup, workouts, and even meals. He also mentioned an unnamed actor couple who allegedly required as many as eleven vans on set, including separate food vans despite being married.
