In a recent interview of Nikhil Kamath, Ranbir Kapoor took a nostalgic trip down memory lane, sharing details about his first encounter with Alia Bhatt.

The Bollywood star candidly reflected on the significant age difference between them, revealing, “The first time I met Alia, she was just 9 years old and I was 20.”

Despite their age difference, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor share a remarkable chemistry. The couple tied the knot on April 14, 2022, after dating for several years.

Their wedding was a private affair held at their Mumbai home, attended by close family and friends. Later that year, in November, they welcomed their daughter, Raha.

In the Interview, Ranbir opened up about marrying Alia. He said, “I’m so lucky I married somebody I’m so close to as a friend where we can really chat, laugh, bitch. You know, like she’s my best friend. I got really lucky with that.”

In his continued praise for his wife, Ranbir Kapoor described Alia Bhatt as a “wonderful person,” noting her vibrant and dynamic personality. He humorously remarked on their 11-year age difference, saying, ''She’s somebody who’s got… she’s very colourful. She’s 11 years younger than me and it’s very funny''

Ranbir reminisced about their first meeting when Alia was just 9 years old and he was 20. They had met during a photoshoot for a project that Sanjay Leela Bhansali was considering, titled Balika Vadhu, which focused on child marriage. Reflecting on that time, Kapoor admitted, “It feels a bit odd to talk about it now.”

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starred together in Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra, which was released in 2022. They are also set to appear together in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming film Love & War, which will also feature Vicky Kaushal.
