Veteran filmmaker Rakesh Roshan recently announced that he will not be directing Krrish 4, the much-anticipated next installment in the successful superhero franchise starring his son, Hrithik Roshan. In a recent interview, Rakesh shared that the time has come for him to "pass on the baton," marking a significant transition for the franchise.
In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, he confirmed his decision to step down as director, he did not reveal who will take over the reins for the upcoming sequel. He said, "So, it’s better I do it when I am in my senses, so that I can overlook the process as well and ascertain whether he’s doing it correctly or not."
He further mentioned that if he were ever not in his senses and had to pass it on, he wouldn’t be aware of what was being made.
The Krrish franchise has been a consistent box office hit, and fans are eagerly awaiting further updates on its next chapter.
The director stated that he has no regrets about not directing Krrish 4. He explained that taking such chances is necessary and acknowledged that there is no certainty of success, even if he were to helm the film. He further pointed out that while his direction could lead to a blockbuster, the opposite outcome was also a possibility.
