The upcoming action film, "Vettaiyan," starring superstar Rajinikanth, has been given a U/A rating by the CBFC. The makers shared the update on social media, heightening anticipation among fans.
The trailer is set to drop on October 2, following the release of two chart-topping songs. Lyca Productions shared a poster of the film and announced that the film has received U/A certification. The caption read, "The hunt is certified! VETTAIYAN gets the U/A stamp! Get ready for an action-packed extravaganza coming your way! #Vettaiyan Releasing on 10th October in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi & Kannada!"
The film is scheduled for a massive release on October 10 in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada.
Fans are eagerly anticipating the film, which revolves around a retired police officer's battle against a corrupt system. The film delves into the world of cops and encounter killings, promising a thrilling and action-packed narrative.
Produced by Lyca Productions, Vettaiyan is directed by TJ Gnanavel, and has music by Anirudh Ravichander. The film features and ensemble cast inlcuding Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Kishore, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, GM Sundar, Abirami, Rohini, Rao Ramesh, Ramesh Thilak and Rakshan.
The runtime of the film has reportedly been increased to around two hours and 43 minutes. The Censor Board suggested that certain words, such as cuss words and terms like Muslim, Sartharji, Neet, and Doctor, be muted.
