Her family shared the heartbreaking news through her official social media handle, expressing deep sorrow over her demise. Her last rites were performed at 3 pm at a Hindu crematorium in Chakala Parsiwada, Andheri East, Mumbai.

Pravina Deshpande was widely respected for her memorable supporting roles in Marathi and Hindi cinema. Though she often appeared in character roles rather than as a leading lady, her performances consistently stood out for their depth and sincerity. She became a familiar face to audiences across generations, building a career that spanned theatre, television, films, and web series.

Many Hindi film viewers remember her best for playing Shalu Chaudhary in Salman Khan’s 2011 blockbuster Ready. Her ability to bring warmth and realism to her characters made her a dependable performer in ensemble casts.

On television, Pravina Deshpande enjoyed immense popularity. She appeared in several well-known shows including Ghar Ek Mandir, Kumkum, Karam Apnaa Apnaa, and Kulfi Kumar Bajewala. Pravina began her artistic journey in theatre before transitioning to television and films. Colleagues often described her as disciplined, humble, and deeply committed to her craft. Over decades, she carved a niche for herself with nuanced performances and quiet strength.

Her passing marks a significant loss to the Marathi and Hindi entertainment industries. While she may not have chased the spotlight, her body of work speaks for itself. Through her memorable roles and the lives she touched, Pravina Deshpande’s legacy will continue to live on in Indian cinema and television.
