Renowned actor Chiranjeevi, celebrated as one of the greatest icons of Indian cinema, has achieved yet another prestigious milestone. In a moment of international recognition, the megastar was recently honored by the UK Parliament with an honorary award.
Chiranjeevi received the esteemed Lifetime Achievement Award in the UK, acknowledging his outstanding contributions to Indian cinema over the years. His brother, Pawan Kalyan, who also serves as the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, took to social media to share an emotional tribute, expressing his admiration and pride in Chiranjeevi’s remarkable success.
Pawan Kalyan shared that his brother Chiranjeevi is more like a father-figure to him than an elder brother. He also shed light on how coming from a humble middle-class background, Chiranjeevi established himself as a megastar during more than four daces as an actor.
His post read, "Starting life as the son of an ordinary middle-class excise constable, with his own strength and the blessings of his artistic mother, he rose to become a megastar in the film industry, entertaining fans all over the world for four and a half decades, winning 9 Filmfare Awards and 3 Nandi Awards for Best Actor with his acting, and becoming synonymous with acting. I will always be proud to be born as his younger brother. I consider Chiranjeevi garu more like a father than an elder brother. He is the person who showed me the way when I was confused and did not know what to do in life (sic)."

He further called his elder brother 'the hero of his life' and expressed his admiration for Chiranjeevi. He highlighted Chiranjeevi’s dedication to social service through the Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust, which has facilitated blood and eye donations, inspiring not just him but millions of fans to contribute to society.
In the same post, acknowledging his brother’s journey, he noted that Chiranjeevi not only achieved great success but also uplifted countless people, demonstrating that talent and perseverance can lead to excellence in any field. He also mentioned that Chiranjeevi was recently honored with the Padma Vibhushan, India’s second-highest civilian award, by President Droupadi Murmu in recognition of his contributions to society.
"Padma Vibhushan Dr. I am very happy to hear that Megastar Chiranjeevi garu was conferred with the Lifetime Achievement Award on the 19th of this month. I would like to express my heartfelt congratulations to him on this occasion and wish him to receive more awards in the future and be a guide for all of us. I would like to express my special thanks to Shri Navendu Mishra, MP for Stockport, who is hosting this award ceremony," Pawan Kalyan concluded the post.
On the work front, Chiranjeevi will be next seen alongside Nani in an untitled action-thriller. Meanwhile, actor-politician Pawan Kalyan will star in the Telugu film Hari Hara Veera Mallu.
