  • Media urged to avoid spreading unverified claims about Chahal's TV involvement

Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal has finally addressed the rumours that have been doing the rounds about his supposed entry into reality television.

Putting all speculation to rest, a statement shared on his Instagram story—issued by talent and sports ecosystem platform Legacy—clearly dismissed the claims circulating across social media and entertainment portals.

The statement categorically clarified that there is “no truth” to reports suggesting Yuzvendra Chahal’s involvement in any reality show. It stressed that the information being shared online is speculative and inaccurate, and confirmed that the cricketer has neither been approached nor committed to the show mentioned in recent media reports. According to the note, there have been no discussions of any kind regarding such a project.

The official communication also appealed to media outlets and social media users to avoid spreading unverified information, underscoring the need for responsible and accurate reporting.

The rumours had triggered widespread chatter, with fans debating whether Yuzvendra Chahal might explore opportunities beyond cricket. This clarification, however, firmly shuts down those assumptions.

A report by Siasat stated that Yuzvendra Chahal and his former wife, Dhanashree Verma —who officially ended their marriage in February 2025—could potentially find themselves on the same show, a possibility that sparked curiosity and debate online.

The 50 is set to stream on JioHotstar and air on Colors TV. Though it occupies the reality-TV space alongside shows like Bigg Boss, its format is said to be very different.

The show will feature 50 contestants living together in a lavish, palace-like setting with no fixed rules—designed to spark chaos, shifting alliances, and unpredictable gameplay.

The lineup is expected to include celebrities, social media influencers, and former Bigg Boss contestants, promising high drama and constant surprises.

The show is the Indian adaptation of the French reality series Les Cinquante, which has already seen international success. It also inspired the American version Los 50, which premiered on Telemundo in 2023. The premiere date for the Indian edition is yet to be announced.

The Indian adaptation is going to be hosted by Farah Khan.
