TVF’s beloved comedy-drama Panchayat has once again demonstrated its immense popularity and critical acclaim. Streaming on Amazon Prime Video, Panchayat Season 4 emerged as one of the biggest winners at the prestigious Iconic Gold Awards, sweeping major honours across multiple comedy categories.

Panchayat Season 4 secured an impressive six awards — Best Web Series, Best Director, Best Actor (Comedy), Best Actress (Comedy), Best Supporting Actor (Comedy), and Best Supporting Actress (Comedy). The wins further extend TVF’s remarkable streak of accolades across its growing portfolio of hit shows.

The much-loved Panchayat franchise continues to cement its place as one of India’s most cherished web series.

The show bagged the Best Comedy Web Series title, while directors Deepak Kumar Mishra and Akshat Vijaywargiya were honoured with Best Director – Comedy (Web Series) for their subtle and layered storytelling that seamlessly blends humour with grounded rural authenticity.

Lead actor Jitendra Kumar won Best Actor – Comedy for his widely appreciated portrayal of Abhishek Tripathi, the reluctant engineering graduate turned village panchayat secretary. Veteran performer Neena Gupta received Best Actress – Comedy for her warm and nuanced performance that has resonated deeply with audiences.

In the supporting categories, Faisal Malik took home Best Supporting Actor – Comedy, while Sunita Rajwar won Best Supporting Actress – Comedy, underscoring the strength and chemistry of the ensemble cast.

Since its debut in 2020, Panchayat quickly evolved into a cultural phenomenon, celebrated for its authentic depiction of rural India and its relatable narrative centred around an engineering graduate navigating life as a village secretary. The series has consistently earned praise for its simplicity, understated humour, and emotional depth.

TVF’s award momentum extends beyond Panchayat. Kota Factory won Best Story – Original (Series) at the IIFA Digital Awards, while Panchayat secured Best Series along with major honours including Best Director and Best Leading Role (Male).
