Year 2026 is full of thrilling and gripping movies and series, for which fans have been eagerly anticipating for a long. With most-awaited sequels, suspenseful endings, and gripping prequels that go back in time to show how it all started, popular series are progressing in every way this year.

These international titles come with years of expectation and fans more interested than ever, whether they are resolving unresolved situations or exploring the beginnings of renowned characters. Take a look at the upcoming movies and series that will dominate watchlists this year.

Young Sherlock (Prime Video)

This new series will explore the life of 19-year-old Sherlock, who has his first run-in with actual danger before he becomes the renowned investigator. He must put his unadulterated intelligence to the test against a mystery much greater than himself after a horrifying murder at Oxford puts him at the centre of suspicion.

Not only does the case threaten his future, but it also shapes the discipline, reasoning, and intuition that will eventually define him as he develops into a broad conspiracy. Young Sherlock is slated to start premiere from March 4 on Prime Video.

Bridgerton Season 4 (Netflix)

Love takes centre stage once more, and a new romantic chapter begins. While maintaining the luxury and mystery that characterise the series, Season 4 offers a new emotional perspective by drawing on the franchise's trademark mix of desire, controversy, and social intrigue.

This season promises sweeping romance, intense drama, and the kind of spectacle that has made Bridgerton a worldwide phenomenon when expectations and desire clash. Netflix is currently streaming Part 1, and Part 2 will be available starting on February 26.

The Boys Season 5 (Prime Video)

As the world nears the end, Homelander has complete control, and his power is unbridled in the final chapter of The Boys. Pressure causes old alliances to fall apart, familiar figures are removed from the board, and resistance becomes more and more unattainable. Billy Butcher returns in peril, carrying a weapon that might completely eradicate Supes from the globe as mayhem erupts.

The show is headed for an all-out reckoning that promises to be the most explosive, merciless season ever, with everything on the line and no turning back. It will be available to stream on Prime Video starting on April 8.

Euphoria Season 3 (HBO Max)

The critically acclaimed series delves deeper into the complex realities of addiction, identity, and broken relationships as it returns to Rue's world and her tense relationship with sobriety.

Euphoria Season 3 forces its characters, played by Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, and others, to confront their pains and have painful moments of self-awareness as old wounds reopen and new decisions have more serious repercussions.

The new season will start premiering on April 3, 2026, on HBO. Fans can stream the series in India on JioHotstar.

Cross Season 2 (Prime Video)

The gripping thriller follows brilliant homicide detective and forensic psychologist Alex Cross, whose ability to step into the minds of killers makes him both formidable and vulnerable. The stakes are raised in Season 2 when billionaire Lance Durand applies for FBI protection after receiving a terrifying death threat connected to a well-known crime.

While his partner John Sampson is attracted into an unexpected personal connection, Cross is dragged into a risky new investigation full of gory clues while he teams up with Agent Kayla Craig. The season finale of Cross S2 will debut on March 18 and is currently available for streaming on Prime Video.

The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping (Theatres)

The nation of Panem was already founded on brutal games and meticulously planned spectacle long before Katniss Everdeen became a symbol of disobedience. The plot, which takes place during the 50th Hunger Games, follows a young Haymitch Abernathy as he is thrown into a competition that will both define his legacy and cause him to suffer lifelong injuries.

It reveals the beginnings of the cynicism, strategy, and scars that reverberate throughout the next uprising, making it more than just a precursor.

Elle (Prime Video)

The fully developed, pink-clad juggernaut that we later met was not always Elle Woods. Elle traces the development of her optimism, emotional intelligence, and fierce self-belief back to her high school years.

She was already learning how to deal with uncertainty, defy expectations, and be true to herself even before Harvard asked her questions. This touching tale of maturation demonstrates how the underappreciated girl became the symbol who would reshape the definition of intelligence. Elle will only be available on Prime Video starting on July 1.
