It’s not easy choosing sides in a rap beef, and it gets even more difficult when you are one of the biggest names in the hip hop industry, and rapper Snoop Dogg doesn’t want to get anywhere near it. But he did have a little to say about it.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the “Drop Like It’s Hot” rapper, shared his diplomatic view on the heated feud between Kendrick Lamar and Drake. "Well, the only thing I want to say about that whole scenario is that I want to give both of them a shout-out for raising the bar as far as lyrics, as far as song-making and writing,” said Snoop.
Snoop also added that ever since the “confrontation” between the two rap moguls, the lyricism and the entire song making process has taken a whole different level. "Those are my nephews. I'm not in the middle of it. I support both of them and that's personal business, not my business.,” remarked the West Coast rapper.
When the dust finally settles and it’s generally accepted that Kendrick emerged victorious, Snoop will reflect on this rap feud with appreciation for both Kendrick and Drake’s significant contributions to the rap scene.

"As far as what they did for the industry and the rap game, they made you rap again," said Snoop. "You can't mumble your way and gimmick your way to a song no more, buddy. So, thank y'all."
Its been about a few weeks since the beef has simmered down between the rappers. With Drake’s last diss, “The Heart Part 6,” a play in reference to Kendrick’s “The Heart Part 5,” the beef came to a stand still. With some arguing that Kendrick wouldn’t release a counter track because the beef was basically ‘done,’ with Lamar hailed as the winner by the community.
