Mumbai’s Lollapalooza India 2026 closed out its fourth edition on a high on 25 January, transforming the Mahalaxmi Racecourse into a sprawling celebration of sounds, styles and shared experiences that went beyond music and into culture. What began as a two-day music festival became a defining moment for India’s live event ecosystem, uniting tens of thousands of attendees across generations and tastes through a lineup that mixed rock legacy, global pop, bass-heavy dance and India’s vibrant independent scene.
The crowning moment came with Linkin Park’s long-anticipated performance — their first appearance at Lollapalooza India and a major highlight of the weekend. Frontman Mike Shinoda thanked fans for their patience and support, and classics like “Numb,” “In the End” and “Crawling” sparked massive sing-alongs, cementing the set as one of the festival’s most powerful crowd moments.
Alongside the rock legends, R&B star Kehlani infused soulful energy with hits like “Nights Like This,” while pop favorites LANY delivered emotional anthems. UK bass artist Sammy Virji kept the dance energy pulsing, and Calum Scott offered heartfelt singalongs, highlighting the festival’s genre diversity. World music collective Nubiyan Twist and electronic duo BUNT. also added distinctive grooves to the evening.
Homegrown talents stood strong in the spotlight: folk-metal band Bloodywood delivered an electrifying set, fusion pioneer Karsh Kale married tradition with electronic artistry, and OAFF x Savera thrilled crowds with their hit “Doobey.” A roster of rising Indian names including MXRCI, Sen, Gini, Pacifist and Zokova ensured that the domestic music narrative was as central as the global acts.
Beyond performances, the festival embraced food, art and community. The Lolla Food Park buzzed with culinary favorites — from Bademiya’s Bheja Roll to Bang Bang Noodles’ Lolla Lava — while merchandise and immersive installations added texture to the experience. Purpose-led initiatives under the #LollaForChange banner promoted sustainability and accessibility, including waste management, EV mobility and enhanced viewing decks for PWD attendees, reinforcing the festival’s inclusive ethos.
With over 20 hours of music across four stages and a deeply engaged crowd, Lollapalooza India 2026 didn’t just end a weekend of performances — it marked a milestone in India’s live entertainment journey, leaving audiences with lasting memories and a cultural moment that will resonate far beyond the Racecourse.
