Legendary American rock band Linkin Park delivered a long-awaited performance in India with a thunderous debut show in Bengaluru on January 23, 2026, bringing their From Zero World Tour to Indian soil for the very first time. The standalone concert at Brigade Innovation Gardens drew an energetic crowd of over 40,000 fans, many of whom had waited years — and in some cases decades — to witness the band live.
For many in attendance, the night was a historic cultural moment. The band’s setlist blended their classic anthems like “Numb”, “In the End” and “Somewhere I Belong” with newer tracks from their latest album From Zero — creating a potent mix of nostalgia and fresh energy that had the crowd singing along throughout the two-hour performance.
A standout moment of the evening occurred when vocalist Emily Armstrong accepted an Assamese gamusa thrown onto the stage by a fan and draped it over her head during the performance of Faint. The spontaneous act quickly went viral on social media, with many fans celebrating what they saw as a touching cultural exchange and moment of connection between the band and its Indian audience.
Co-founder Mike Shinoda also acknowledged the significance of the occasion, telling the crowd that Linkin Park had been eager to perform in India and that their arrival “raised the bar to new heights,” underscoring the band’s appreciation for the passionate reception.
The Bengaluru concert was just the beginning of Linkin Park’s India journey: they are also set to headline Lollapalooza India 2026 in Mumbai on January 25, giving fans another opportunity to see them live in the country.
