Punjabi singer Jasmine Sandlas made headlines during her recent Delhi concert when she stopped performing mid-show to confront a situation of harassment in the audience, drawing widespread praise on social media.

The incident occurred at a live event in the national capital where Jasmine Sandlas, known for her songs like the Dhurandhar title track and Shararat, was entertaining a large crowd.

According to viral video clips shared online, Jasmine noticed two men harassing female fans in the crowd and immediately intervened. Rather than continuing her performance, she called out the behaviour over the microphone, urging event security to act.

Sandlas was heard telling the team, “Security, can you please remove these two guys? They are troubling these women.” Her stance didn’t stop there. In a firm yet composed address, the singer made it clear that women’s safety was a priority over the show itself. “I will not perform if women don’t feel safe in my concert,” she said, underscoring her refusal to continue until the situation was handled appropriately.

The response online was overwhelmingly positive, with many netizens praising her for using her platform to tackle misconduct at a live event. Social media users took to X and Instagram to commend Sandlas’ action, using phrases like “real queens protect their kingdom” and “women standing for women.” One fan wrote, “no foul language.. no yelling.. no drama.. a basic civic appeal and a stern stand. Hats off to her.”

After the disruption, the show did resume. Actress Ayesha Khan, who featured in the Shararat dance number, also joined Jasmine onstage for a performance that brought the energy back up, with the crowd responding enthusiastically.
