Punjabi pop sensation Jasmine Sandlas is basking in the overwhelming response to her latest Bollywood track Shararat, which has quickly emerged as one of the most talked-about songs of 2025. The high-energy number features in the blockbuster action drama Dhurandhar, and has struck a chord with audiences across music and film circles.

Clearly thrilled by the love pouring in, Jasmine recently shared a candid video on social media where she is seen singing Shararat before breaking into uncontrollable laughter. Alongside the clip, she proudly declared the track the “biggest Bollywood banger of 2025,” adding that it may be second only to the film’s title track. Ending her post with “Waheguru,” the singer’s excitement felt both personal and heartfelt, reflecting a moment of genuine gratitude rather than calculated promotion.

Shararat is picturised on actresses Ayesha Khan and Krystle D’Souza and unfolds during a lavish wedding celebration sequence in director Aditya Dhar’s high-octane thriller. The film stars Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan and Arjun Rampal in pivotal roles, supported by a strong ensemble cast including Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, Manav Gohil, Saumya Tandon and Gaurav Gera.

The first instalment of a planned two-part series, Dhurandhar traces an intense anti-terror covert operation, following an undercover Indian agent who infiltrates Karachi’s criminal and political underworld. The narrative weaves together fictionalised elements inspired by real geopolitical flashpoints, including the 1999 IC-814 hijacking, the 2001 Indian Parliament attack, the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks, and developments linked to Operation Lyari. This layered backdrop gives Shararat an interesting contrast, injecting celebratory music into an otherwise grim and tense world.

For Jasmine Sandlas, the success of Shararat is another milestone in a career marked by reinvention and mass appeal. She first tasted fame with her 2008 hit Muskan and made a powerful Bollywood entry in 2014 with Yaar Na Miley from Kick, a song that went viral and established her distinctive vocal style. In recent years, she delivered chart-toppers like Taras from Munjya (2024) and Nasha from Raid (2025).

Her contributions have earned her multiple accolades, including the Most Popular Song of the Year award, appearances on TEDx, MTV Coke Studio and Spoken Word platforms, and, most recently, induction into the Women Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2025. With Shararat dominating playlists and wedding dance floors alike, Jasmine Sandlas’ 2025 run feels less like a peak and more like a statement of staying power.
