National Award-winning composer and super-producer Shashwat Sachdev has swiftly emerged as one of the most influential names in the film and music industry. The Rajasthan-born talent has established a reputation for curating globally resonant soundtracks and assembling some of the finest voices in the business.
Fresh off the phenomenal success of Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar, Shashwat Sachdev’s compositions dominated streaming charts across India and internationally.
The film’s soundtrack not only became the most streamed Bollywood music of the year but also reached #1 on Billboard and #2 on Spotify’s Top Global Debut, highlighting his reach beyond the Indian music scene.
Previously, his work on Aryan Khan’s The Bads of Bollywood also received widespread critical acclaim, cementing his status as a powerhouse in modern film music.
Known for bringing together stellar talent, Shashwat has collaborated with artists including Arijit Singh, Diljit Dosanjh, Karan Aujla, Hanumankind, Raja Kumari, Sonu Nigam, Vishal Dadlani, B Praak, Jubin Nautiyal, Shilpa Rao, Jasmine Sandlas, and Faheem Abdullah, crafting ensembles that resonate with audiences globally.
Earlier this year, he made history by co-composing the title theme for the British series Virdee alongside two-time Academy Award winner Hans Zimmer and Emmy winner James Everingham, becoming the first Indian composer to collaborate with Zimmer.
Sachdev’s accolades include the National Film Award and IIFA Award for Best Background Score for Uri: The Surgical Strike, and the Filmfare R.D. Burman Award for Best Upcoming Talent.
Trained in Hindustani classical music from the age of three and a graduate of Trinity College London in Western classical piano, he moved to Los Angeles in 2011 to work on Hollywood projects before making his Bollywood debut with Phillauri in 2017.
Despite entering the industry with no connections, he has since redefined the soundscape of films including Uri, Article 370, Kesari Chapter 2, Veere Di Wedding, Selection Day, Attack: Part 1, Tejas, and Ulajh.
