The unique aspect of this post is that Imran did not include a caption, which fans interpret as a subtle but powerful homage to the late musician.

In the picture, Imran is seen holding Sidhu’s younger brother, who is also named Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, aka Chotta Sidhu.

This meeting holds great significance as it is an honour bestowed upon one musical legend by another. Imran Khan is very attached to Sidhu's music. He used to play Sidhu's song "Devil" during live concerts as a way of remembering him.

For the unversed, Sidhu Moosewala rose to stardom with his track So High. His first album, PBX 1, was published in 2018 and reached number 66 on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart. His songs Mera Na and 47 appeared on the UK Singles Chart.

The Guardian listed Moose Wala as one of 50 emerging artists in 2020. In addition, he won four Brit Asia TV Music Awards and was the first Indian and Punjabi singer to appear at the Wireless Festival.

How did Sidhu Moosewala die?

Sidhu Moosewala was killed in a gunshot assassination on May 29, 2022, after being ambushed by hired gunmen who ambushed his car in Punjab, shooting him through the windscreen as part of a gang rivalry.

Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar later claimed responsibility on behalf of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The day after the Punjab government lowered its protection, making him vulnerable while driving a private vehicle, the incident took place.
