Shiloh Jolie-Pitt is very likely to be approved 'Pitt-less' soon

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s 18-year-old daughter, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt’s name change to Shiloh Jolie is imminent. As per legal experts, the name change is likely to be granted and it could be soon.

Neama Rahmani, a legal analyst unaffiliated with the case, informed Us Weekly that in California, such petitions are "liberally granted" provided the name change isn't intended to deceive or mislead. Rahmani clarified that individuals looking to alter their names are prohibited from adopting the names of well-known public figures such as Donald Trump or President Joe Biden. Nevertheless, for 18-year-old Shiloh, dropping her father Brad Pitt’s surname is perfectly permissible and will indeed be approved.

"It’s a simple petition," Rahmani explained. "A judge does have to grant it, and they’re almost always granted."

Us Weekly reported that Shiloh submitted the necessary documents on her 18th birthday, seeking to remove her father's surname and adopt her mother's maiden name. Although the request is pending, Rahmani expects it to be "quickly granted."

Angelina, 48, and Brad, 60, are also parents to Maddox, 22, Pax, 19, Zahara, 18, and 15-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne. Shiloh isn't the first of Pitt's children to discard his last name. Last year, Zahara introduced herself with only her mother's surname after joining the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority at Spelman College.
