Shiloh Pitt has reportedly filed to drop her father, Brad Pitt’s name. Shiloh turned 18 on Monday and in celebration of her becoming an adult, she filed paperwork to remove her father’s last name from her name.
Her request for this name change hasn’t seemingly been granted yet but after the change, the dancer will go by Shiloh Jolie.
Brad and Angelina’s kids are making it very clear that they do not wish to be associated to Brad Pitt anymore.
The news of Shiloh wishing to go by Jolie comes after her sister, Zahara, also introduced herself as Zahara Jolie while joining the sorority Alpha Kappa Alpha at Spelman College.
“My name is Zahara Marley Jolie. “Coming all the way from the Golden State in the city that is full of angels, Los Angeles, California. … I am this line’s number seven,” Zahara Jolie said in a video shared by Essence.
A third sister, Vivienne, also recently dropped the ‘Pitt’ last name. She is working for a Broadway play titled ‘The Outsiders’ as a production assistant. The play is produced by Angelina Jolie. Vivienne is credited as ‘Vivienne Jolie’ on the show’s Playbill.
None of the children have commented on why they are opting to change their last name. Although, reports suggest that it might be related to the ex couple’s ongoing divorce.
The couple met on the set of ‘Mr and Mrs Smith’ and share 6 children together - Shiloh, 18, Maddox, 22, Pax, 19, Zahara, 18, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 15.
Pitt and Jolie filed for a divorce in 2016 after being together for more than a decade. Ever since then a gruelling legal battle has been ongoing between the two. They still haven’t reached an agreement on custody of their children and ownership over their French winery, Chateau Miraval.
Brad Pitt will be seen in the upcoming action flick titled ‘Wolfs’ starring alongside George Clooney.
Angelina Jolie will be seen in Pablo Larrain’s ‘Maria’ which will most likely premiere at the Venice Film Festival. The film is a biographical drama based on the opera singer Maria Callas.
