A former security guard for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie has come forward with claims that he overheard actress Angelina Jolie discouraging her children from spending time with their father, actor Brad Pitt.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have been in a divorce and custody battle since many years.
Brad Pitt’s lawyers filed a case against Jolie on Thursday claiming that the ‘Salt’ actress tried to divide the family intentionally by asking her children to stop seeing Pitt.
According to Entertainment Tonight, their former security guard, Tony Webb, claimed that Angelina Jolie had instructed her kids to not speak to Brad Pitt during custody visits. The court documents also include a claim that Jolie tried to threaten her staff and security guards by making them sign non-disclosure agreements (NDAs).
According to the court documents, Tony Webb "was the head of Jolie's security detail for two decades, and he remained in that role for approximately four years after the couple divorced.”
Reportedly, after the couple divorced and the legal battles began, Webb "received multiple calls from Jolie's representative, who told Mr. Webb to remind his staff that they had entered into NDAs with Jolie and that if they testified in a custody proceeding, Jolie would sue them.”
According to The Mirror, Webb was fired by Jolie after learning that he was going to give evidence in the court case.
This allegation comes in the midst of an intense legal battle between Jolie and Pitt over their French winery Chateau Miraval.
In response to these allegations, Angelina Jolie’s attorney, Paul Murphy denied Pitt’s accusations.
“Mr. Pitt’s continued attempt to equate common NDAs for security personnel and housekeepers covering confidential information employees learn at work, with him demanding an expanded NDA to ensure the continued coverup of his deplorable actions remains shameful. This case is not about NDAs in general, but about power and control,” said Murphy.
“All Angelina has ever wanted was separation and health, with positive relationships between all members of their family, including Mr. Pitt. She looks forward to the day when he is finally able to let her go,” he concluded.
