North West, the daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, made her Hollywood Bowl singing debut recently by playing the role of young Simba in ‘The Lion King’ Live Concert. The 10 year old performer wore an adorable lion costume and sang ‘I Just Can’t Wait to be King’ after getting a sweet introduction from Jason Weaver, who voiced Simba’s singing voice in the original Disney film.

Her family and friends from all over are cheering her for her performance. “Kanye whipped out his phone to film as soon as she began. He filmed the whole time and gave North a standing ovation. She was absolutely adorable and you can tell she will be a good singer,” an insider told Us Weekly.

But North West's performance is not going over well with the netizens. They are claiming that she only got the role through nepotism.

One user on X (Formerly Twitter) wrote, “The nepo baby allegations are so real.”

A critic claimed that North “didn’t even practice”, “Yeah this is terrible for a concert show people paid to see. Come on, the privilege shows. It looks like she didn’t even practice.”

One user on Instagram wrote, “It’s the fact that she was chosen when there were clearly more talented and hardworking kids who deserved the role. It’s setting a bad example and it’s not a good look.”

“so unfair to those ACTUALLY talented kids who could have been up on that stage and give a 100 times better performance,” another wrote.

“This is how removed from real life we are. The Kardashians put their child in the production show because Kris wanted to see this kid in a “school production” but a school production wouldn’t be enough for them. This was truly just for them. No one bought tickets to see a tone deaf child dressed like a chicken. We need to, as a society, hold people to a higher standard and stop letting wealth and fame dictate what we allow. Real talent should ALWAYS be the standard. Not followers or likes or views or money. Period,” another user on Instagram wrote.

A mother of child who had auditioned for the role of Samba as well took to TikTok and claimed that Kim Kardashian paid a lot of money for North West to get cast in the role.
