Huma Qureshi’s upcoming film Bayaan is an investigative police procedural drama that is being directed by Bikas Mishra, most known for his critically acclaimed film Chauranga. Recently, Huma Qureshi took to her Instagram account to post pictures from the set of the drama film.
Stating her excitement, Huma wrote, “Roohi Kartar reporting on duty!! #Bayaan @shiladityabora @bikasmishra Day 1.”
The film will be produced by award-winning producer, Shiladitya Bora and will be developed at Film Independent in Los Angeles.

Set in the scenic expanse of Rajasthan, the film tells a captivating tale of a father and daughter. Roohi, a novice detective, embarks on her first major case in a quaint town. Her resolve is tested as she contends with a powerful adversary entrenched in the system's corruption. Roohi's challenge is to uphold the illustrious legacy of her father, a celebrated figure in law enforcement, while navigating the complexities of her new role.
The film, titled 'Bayaan', features Chandrachur Singh and Sachin Khedekar in pivotal roles. Production kicks off this month in Rajasthan, with Shiladitya Bora (Platoon One Films), Madhu Sharma (Summit Studios), Kunal Kumar, and Anshuman Singh at the helm as producers.

Sharing the news of the film, Huma posted on Instagram and penned, "A film I am very excited about #Bayaan, developed at Film Independent, Los Angeles goes on floors. It’s a rare combination: a fantastic script, a talented crew, and their complete dedication to their work. The energy is infectious. Written and Directed by Bikas Mishra, Produced by Shiladitya Bora (Platoon One Films), Madhu Sharma (Summit Studios), Kunal Kumar, and Anshuman Singh. The film is supported by the International Film Festival Rotterdam’s Hubert Bals Fund and was developed at LA Residency, a part of the Global Media Makers (GMM) program of Film Independent, Los Angeles. During the course of the residency, Bikas was mentored by Craig Mazin (HBO’s Chernobyl) and received advice on the script from writer Jeff Stockwell and story editor Ruth Atkinson."
