Chinese actor Zhou Qi has found himself at the center of growing controversy after reports emerged linking him romantically to actress Xiang Hanzhi. This was followed by allegations of overlapping relationships and emotional mistreatment. What began as dating speculation has now escalated into a public dispute involving social media claims and an official response from the actor’s studio.

According to local entertainment media, Zhou Qi was allegedly seen spending the night at Xiang Hanzhi’s residence on December 17. The following day, both actors attended the 2025 Sohu Fashion Gala, where they were reportedly seen interacting closely. While neither addressed the rumours publicly at the event, their appearances quickly drew attention from fans and paparazzi alike.

Further, as reported by Koreaboo, a video that circulated online after the gala appeared to show Zhou Qi carrying Xiang Hanzhi’s bag as they exited the venue. In the same footage, the two were also seen embracing, prompting widespread assumptions that the pair may be romantically involved. The clips spread rapidly across Chinese social media platforms, and netizens dissected their body language and interactions.

However, the situation took an unexpected turn when the rumours became entangled with claims made by Weibo influencer iamroosie. In a recent exposé, she alleged that Zhou Qi had messaged her on December 19, just days after his alleged overnight stay at Xiang Hanzhi’s home. While she did not explicitly detail the nature of their relationship, her post implied emotional mistreatment and raised questions about possible overlapping romantic involvement.

In her statement, iamroosie wrote, “I don’t want to say much, but I need a reasonable explanation. I’m not a dog you can just buy and discard. Talk properly. To be honest, you treated me the worst.” The emotionally charged message quickly gained traction online, netizens debated whether the actor had engaged in inappropriate behaviour or misled multiple women.

In response to the mounting backlash, Zhou Qi’s studio released an official statement addressing the alleged timeline involving both Xiang Hanzhi and iamroosie. According to the studio, the influencer deliberately misinterpreted private messages exchanged between herself and the actor. The statement firmly denied any wrongdoing, asserting that Zhou Qi did not cheat or engage in misconduct, and emphasised that the accusations were misleading.

Zhou Qi is known for his roles in several popular Chinese dramas, including the 2019 series A Little Reunion, and more recently, The Vendetta of An. Xiang Hanzhi has built her own reputation through performances in A Little Mood for Love and the recent drama The Wanted Detective.
