RM of global K-pop phenomenon BTS has once again shared a heartfelt glimpse into his thoughts about the group’s management and their relationship with HYBE, giving fans an unusually personal look at what goes on behind the scenes.
On Sunday, BTS — RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook — came together for a live broadcast on a fan platform, their first full-group appearance in months.
Excitement about the group's eagerly awaited return was sparked by the session, which was full of warmth, humor, and small clues about what fans can expect next.
During the broadcast, Jimin said, “We’re practicing together and spending time as a group,” showing how much the members value reconnecting as a team. RM shared a more personal update, revealing, “I got my driver’s license. I’m not planning to buy a car, but I wanted to overcome a kind of trauma.”
The conversation naturally turned to the topic fans have been eagerly waiting for: a comeback. RM expressed his determination, saying, “Let’s make 2026 the year of BTS.”
While Jin praised their agency, saying, “The company does work hard for us,” RM admitted a more conflicted perspective. “I’m not sure,” he said. “I wish they would take a little better care of us and be more nurturing.”
He added with a small laugh, “I really wish our company showed us more affection,” prompting laughter from the other members and a moment of candid, human connection that fans rarely see.
This broadcast comes after BTS completed their mandatory military service, with Suga discharged in June, and has only heightened anticipation for their full-group comeback.
RM has previously shared his frustrations with the agency, admitting, “I want to come back quickly. I’m going crazy. I wish HYBE would announce something soon,” showing how difficult the period of inactivity has been for him.
Despite the challenges, RM emphasised the bond that keeps the group together. “The reason we keep going as a team is because there is love among us, and love and respect for our fans,” he said.
He also offered insight into why they took a break, sharing, “There was a reason we decided not to promote in the second half of the year, but I can’t talk about it,” revealing the emotional and professional weight they carry.
BTS is said to make a comeback in 2026.
