Emerald Fennell's rendition of Wuthering Heights, starring Margot Robbie, is currently running in the theatres, and the Indian audience has noticed a wild similarity with Jab We Met’s Geet.

A scene from Wuthering Heights is going viral on social media, which shows Margot’s character Cathy dancing. However, what garnered most attention was Margot’s outfit, which was very similar to Kareena Kapoor’s iconic look from Jab We Met’s song ‘Ye Ishq Hai’.

Margot looks stunning in a long red skirt, a white top, and a black corset.

Social media users were immediately drawn to the ensemble, especially those who were admirers of Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor. The similarity to Kapoor's iconic appearance from the movie Jab We Met was noted by a number of social media users.

Fans drew comparisons between Margot and Kareena after the video went viral. Many brought up the well-known song Yeh Ishq Haaye from Jab We Met, in which Kapoor wore a vibrant red skirt with a black corset and white blouse.

Kareena’s ensemble is still regarded by many Bollywood fans as a landmark in Hindi cinema.

Since then, there has been an abundance of side-by-side photos and debate on social media platforms. A lot of readers stated that "Kareena did it first," while others found it entertaining to witness a classic Bollywood aesthetic replicated in a modern Hollywood film.

The happy spinning that was accompanied by music in the Wuthering Heights clip added to the parallels between the two sequences.

Fans have responded differently to Emerald Fennell's daring adaptation of Emily Brontë's book. Despite conflicting reviews, the movie debuted at the top of the box office in North America. However, the Indian box office response has been characterised as lukewarm.

A sequel to the movie has been confirmed by the producers. The second book in author Freida McFadden's best-selling trilogy serves as the basis for the sequel, which is titled The Housemaid's Secret.

The audience's reaction influenced the decision to approve a sequel, according to Adam Fogelson, chair of Lionsgate's motion picture group.

The Housemaid's Secret, the second instalment, is scheduled to start filming this year.
