Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan made an impressive debut with Maharaj, which had initially faced legal issues for hurting the sentiments of a particular religious sect. But the actor impressed one and all in the role of journalist Karsandas Mulji.
Now, Junaid is set to star in rom-com with Khushi Kapoor, which he had confirmed to Money Control earlier this year in an exclusive conversation.
Producer Shristi Behl Arya took to Instagram to make an announcement about the movie and its theatrical release. She shared a poster stating, "The theatrical release of our film about love, like and everything in between. Khushi Kapoor Junaid Khan, 07.02.2025," and captioned it, "SAVE THE DATE!!! 7-2-25."
Earlier in our interview he told MoneyControl about working Khushi and Sai Pallavi: “They are very different films from Maharaj; one is a classical romance, and one is a rom-com. But I am under self-pressure; when these films come out, you will see.”
Junaid and Khushi shot for the first leg of the shoot in Mumbai, and then shot at famous places in Delhi including Sunder Nursey. The film, yet untitled, is set for a theatrical release.
Directed by Advait Chandan, this romantic comedy is an adaptation of the Tamil hit film Love Today. The movie features Junaid and Khushi in several romantic scenes.

The adaptation began shooting in Mumbai, with the first portions filmed at the Seven Eleven Club in Mira Road. Originally slated to start in June, the filming commenced earlier due to Junaid's promotional activities for Maharaja. The production aimed to complete outdoor scenes before the onset of the rains. Produced by Aamir Khan, who is also busy with Sitaare Zameen Par, the film also stars Genelia Deshmukh.
