Bollywood’s beloved comedy franchise Housefull returns with its fifth installment, Housefull 5, and this time, the makers have pulled off a unique cinematic twist. Released on June 6, the film is making waves not only for its trademark comedy and massive star cast but also for its intriguing dual-version format. Yes, Housefull 5 has two different versions—Version A and Version B—each with its own distinct climax.

The central plot of Housefull 5 revolves around a murder mystery aboard a luxury cruise ship. A wealthy billionaire, played by veteran actor Ranjeet, is mysteriously killed, and his fortune is set to be inherited by someone named “Jolly.” The twist? There are three characters with the same name—played by Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, and Abhishek Bachchan. As the story unfolds, all three along with their respective girlfriends are caught up in the whodunit, becoming prime suspects in the case.

What sets the film apart is that the identity of the killer changes depending on the version you're watching. In Version A, one character is revealed as the murderer in the final 15–20 minutes, while in Version B, another takes the fall. While the storyline, humor, and runtime (2 hours and 45 minutes) remain exactly the same in both versions, this twist in the climax offers a fresh and engaging experience for moviegoers.

This dual-ending format is a first for the Housefull franchise and is being praised for its innovative storytelling. Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh themselves confirmed that audiences will need to watch both versions to fully grasp the alternate perspectives and enjoy the complete narrative experience.

Both versions have received a U/A rating from the CBFC, making them suitable for family audiences. However, viewers will need to purchase two separate tickets if they wish to see both versions in theaters.

Directed with flair and packed with a massive ensemble cast including Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, Sanjay Dutt, Nana Patekar, Fardeen Khan, and many others, Housefull 5 combines laughter, suspense, and a new layer of intrigue, making it one of the most talked-about releases of 2025. Whether you're a fan of slapstick comedy or love a good mystery, this film offers double the fun—and double the climax!
