Actor Timothée Chalamet found himself unexpectedly pulled into online speculation this week after being photographed in Paris with Ana Maria Bartholomew, just as he was in the city promoting his Oscar-nominated film Marty Supreme.
The sighting quickly sparked rumours about his relationship with Kylie Jenner, even as the actor remained focused on his professional commitments.
Timothée Chalamet had travelled to Paris for the premiere and after-party of Marty Supreme, where he stars as a gifted table tennis prodigy.
While leaving a hotel, paparazzi captured images of him alongside Ana Maria Bartholomew, prompting social media chatter.
A now deleted viral post on X by @metgalacrave claimed the pair appeared aware of photographers and alleged they returned to the hotel around 10.30 pm, before attempting to leave again at approximately 11.30 pm with visible security. The claims quickly fuelled speculation, though no concrete evidence suggested anything inappropriate.
Fans were quick to step in, offering a calmer counter-narrative. Several pointed out that the outing appeared to include other friends and shared videos showing Timothée Chalamet later returning to the hotel alone. Many argued that the rush to judgement reflected more about internet culture than the reality of the situation.
During his Paris appearance, Timothée Chalamet attended a screening at the Grand Rex Cinema, cutting a striking figure in a tan double-breasted blazer, loose trousers and polished black shoes.
His time in France followed an equally busy stop in London, where he had participated in a Q&A session at the Prince Charles Cinema.
It was there that Timothée Chalamet was asked a deeply personal question about Kylie Jenner by filmmaker Richard Curtis. Clearly uncomfortable, the actor replied, “That's so personal, No I'm probably gonna get in trouble man.” When pressed again, he deflected with humour, saying, “Who is we? The whole crowd.”
Despite the rumours, Timothée Chalamet has continued to publicly acknowledge his relationship with Kylie Jenner.
At the Critics Choice Awards, he paid tribute to her during his acceptance speech, saying, “Lastly, I'll just say, thank you to my partner of three years,” before adding, “Thank you for our foundation. I couldn't do this without you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
Sources close to the couple have suggested their relationship is growing increasingly serious.
According to US Weekly, they have discussed getting engaged this year, with one insider claiming Kylie Jenner has begun referring to Timothée Chalamet as her “husband”. Another source told Page Six that the pair have been living together in Los Angeles for over a year and behave “like they're basically married already”.
