Television icon Oprah Winfrey has once again found herself at the centre of online conversations after appearing at Paris Fashion Week with a noticeably slimmer look. Videos from the event quickly circulated on social media, with many users commenting on her transformation and speculating about the reason behind her weight loss.

In the now-viral clips, Oprah, 72, was seen dressed casually in jeans paired with a jacket.

She also switched up her usual hairstyle — instead of her signature parted hair, she opted for a sleek ponytail. Completing the look, she wore tinted sunglasses, giving off a relaxed yet stylish vibe as she attended the fashion event.

While many fans admired her appearance, others expressed concern about her health and began speculating whether her weight loss might be linked to the widely discussed medication Ozempic, which has gained popularity for its weight-loss effects.

Several social media users took to X to share their reactions. One user wrote, “Her head looks way too big for her body. Is it ozempic or Oprah.” Another user commented, “What in the Ozempic Oprah is going on here?”

Some reactions also reflected surprise at her changed appearance, with one comment reading, "That looks nothing like Oprah Winfrey!"

Although the speculation has been widespread online, Oprah has previously spoken openly about using medication to help with weight management. However, she has never confirmed whether the drug she uses is Ozempic specifically.

In a January 2025 podcast episode, Oprah revealed that she had started taking a GLP-1 agonist — a category of medications that includes drugs such as Ozempic. Speaking about her experience, she reflected on how it changed her understanding of eating habits.

“One of the things that I realized the very first time I took a GLP-1 was that all these years I thought that thin people just had more willpower, they ate better foods, they were able to stick to it longer, they never had a potato chip, and then I realized the very first time I took the GLP-1 that, 'Oh, they're not even thinking about it. They're only eating when they're hungry, and they're stopping when they're full.”

Oprah has also previously discussed the challenges she faced before turning to medication to help manage her weight. Explaining her situation at the time, she said, “I couldn’t work out anymore. I can’t climb any faster or run any faster. I was down to eating one meal a day. There’s nothing else I can do,” Oprah had said explaining why she turned to the weight loss drug.

Beyond medication, Oprah has also been focusing on improving her physical strength and overall fitness. In an Instagram post shared in February 2026, she documented her strength-training journey and spoke about the importance of daily exercise, particularly for maintaining bone health as she ages.

Sharing a glimpse of her progress, Oprah told fans that her fitness levels have improved significantly over the past two years. She revealed that while she struggled to hold a plank for more than 10 seconds back in 2024, she can now successfully complete a one-minute plank routine.

As conversations about her weight loss continue online, Oprah’s recent appearance has once again sparked discussions about body image, ageing and the growing popularity of weight-loss medications.
