Barbie actress Margot Robbie walked the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of Wuthering Heights, Jacob Elordi in a gothic look. However, her necklace garnered most attention as it holds relevance to India’s Taj Mahal.
The actress turned heads in a stunning handmade Schiaparelli gown. She elevated her look with Elizabeth Taylor's Taj Mahal Diamond necklace, which definitely stole the show.
Margot’s necklace, associated with a famous Hollywood romance, added to the atmosphere.
Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, like Heathcliff and Catherine, had a passionate and turbulent public love that was characterised by deep devotion, dramatic arguments, remarriage, and famous jewels that symbolised their relationship.

The Taj Mahal Diamond necklace has a far older history, which is what makes it even more remarkable. The words "Love is Everlasting" and the name Nur Jahan are inked on the heart-shaped diamond.
According to historians, Mughal Emperor Jahangir gave the gem to his wife, Noor Jahan, who subsequently gave it to their son, Emperor Shah Jahan.
The diamond is believed to have been given to Shah Jahan's beloved spouse, Mumtaz Mahal.
When she died in 1631 while giving birth, he was devastated. In her honour, he commissioned the Taj Mahal, a white marble monument in Agra that took over 20 years to build and is still recognised as one of India's finest symbols of love.

The diamond made its way into the world of contemporary jewellery centuries later. Cartier purchased the gem in 1971 and used traditional Indian design as inspiration for a necklace.
The diamond was strung on an adjustable-length chain made of gold and ruby and adorned with jade, red jewels, and lesser diamonds. The ensemble was finished with a tassel in the back.
During a visit to New York in 1972, Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor first noticed the necklace. Later, during a grandiose ceremony in Budapest, Burton gave it to Taylor on her 40th birthday. Taylor held the jewel up for the partygoers to view, and they were famously photographed admiring it.
