Chappell Roan, who turned heads at the Grammy Awards 2026 with her outfit, has recently made her stand clear. She has parted ways with the influential talent agency Wasserman after the name of its founder was linked in Epstein Files controversy.

The pop singer has joined an increasing number of musicians who are separating from the influential talent agency.

Chappell took to her social media on Monday, February 9, and announced that Wasserman is no longer her agent. Her announcement came just a few days after the agency's founder, Casey Wasserman, was found in the most recent set of Epstein-related documents made public by the Department of Justice on January 30.

Email correspondence between Wasserman and Ghislaine Maxwell, who was subsequently found guilty of her involvement in Jeffrey Epstein's sex trafficking scheme, is said to be among the documents.

She shared her announcement on her Instagram Story and wrote, "As of today, I am no longer represented by Wasserman, the talent agency led by Casey Wasserman."

The singer then explained the reason behind her decision and said, “I hold my teams to the highest standards and have a duty to protect them as well. No artist, agent or employee should ever be expected to defend or overlook actions that conflict so deeply with our own moral values. I have deep respect and appreciation for the agents and staff who work tirelessly for their artists and I refuse to passively stand by."

The singer also emphasised the importance of accountability within the entertainment industry.

She wrote, “Artists deserve representation that aligns with their values and supports their safety and dignity. This decision reflects my belief that meaningful change in our industry requires accountability and leadership that earns trust."

Her departure comes after a number of independent musicians, including Wednesday, Beach Bunny, and Water From Your Eyes, have made similar announcements about their intention to leave Wasserman in recent days.

Casey Wasserman is the CEO of the Los Angeles Olympics Organising Committee for the 2028 Games. The incident has caused more widespread concern outside of the music industry due to his profile.

Following the publication of the documents, local authorities have openly asked for his resignation.
