Brooklyn Beckham has taken a dramatic step in the long-running reported feud with his parents, Sir David and Victoria Beckham, by issuing a formal legal letter asking them to contact him only through lawyers, marking a sharp escalation in family tensions that have simmered for years.

According to multiple reports, the 26-year-old — who is married to actress Nicola Peltz Beckham — issued the letter towards the end of summer 2025, demanding that his parents refrain from reaching out to him directly or tagging him on social media, and that all future communication be handled through their respective legal representatives.

As per The Sun, “Truly, people do not know the full facts of this heart-breaking tale, and think Brooklyn was just being truculent when he blocked his parents. The reality is that he issued them with a letter at the end of last summer, asking for any correspondence to go via lawyers only, and wanted to try and make amends privately, not publicly.”

The move follows months of reported friction between Brooklyn and his parents, with tensions reportedly dating back to disagreements around his high-profile 2022 wedding and lifestyle choices. Some outlets note that minor social media interactions — such as Victoria liking one of Brooklyn’s Instagram posts — were interpreted as breaches of his earlier requests for privacy, further widening the divide.

In recent months, Brooklyn is said to have blocked his parents and siblings on social media as the relationship deteriorated, and he and Nicola have skipped major family events, including David Beckham’s 50th birthday celebrations. Sources say Brooklyn still maintains contact with his grandparents, indicating that his estrangement is specifically with his parents.

Reports suggest that David and Victoria were left “utterly bemused and devastated” by the legal letter but continue to hope for reconciliation. Insiders say the couple has tried reaching out and assured their eldest son that the door is always open, though the legal boundaries now in place have made direct contact difficult.

While the possibility of a future rapprochement isn’t ruled out entirely by close sources, any resolution is expected to be handled privately and away from the public eye, given the formal nature of the current communications.
