In exciting news for Backstreet Boys fans, the American boy band has unveiled a music video for the 2025 version of their classic hit song I Want It That Way on YouTube on Tuesday.
Shot in a vertical format, the video captures a wave of nostalgia in a single continuous take, paying homage to the visual style and essence that defined an entire generation.
The band released the video to mark Into The Millennium Homecoming: Live in Germany, their first-ever German residency at the Merkur Spiel-Arena in Düsseldorf, which is scheduled to take place in September and October 2026.
Sharing the video on Instagram, the band's official page shared, "To celebrate, we are releasing a very special 2025 vertical music video for “I Want It That Way!” We were on the set of our tour promo production and started to really really feel that 1999 nostalgia being in front of this plane in an airplane hanger in our all white wardrobe and decided to try and capture this performance in one take at the end of a very long 2 days of shooting. Think it came out pretty magical! "
The video shows the band members dressed completely in white, standing in front of a plane inside an airplane hangar, closely mirroring the original video’s iconic airport setting.
Revealing details about the shoot, the band shared that it took two long days to complete, as they were determined to recreate the same energy and charm that fans fell in love with decades ago.
