The first Avengers: Doomsday trailer leaked online earlier today, marking the third of a four-part teaser series to surface online. The leak has given fans an early glimpse into the film while leaving much of its content still under wraps.

Excitement around Doomsday has been building ever since news broke that the first trailer would premiere in December 2025.

In recent weeks, further details about the trailer have heightened anticipation, particularly regarding its unconventional release plan. The trailer is set to be screened exclusively during the screening of Avatar: Fire and Ash and is divided into four parts, and each will be released over several weeks.

What the trailer leak reveals

According to The Direct.com, entertainment expert Daniel Richtman, the first Avengers: Doomsday trailer centers entirely on Chris Evans' Steve Rogers, showcasing his life following the events of Avengers: Endgame.

Richtman explained that the focus on Steve Rogers is intended to confirm his return and "establish him as the lead character" in the upcoming crossover.

The Captain America-focused teaser will be shown ahead of Avatar: Fire and Ash this weekend, while the second week will shift the spotlight to Thor.

Third Teaser to focus on Robert Downey Jr

The third teaser is reported to highlight Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom. Details about this teaser are scarce, but it is expected to be the final character-centric sneak peek. The fourth teaser will serve as a full-length trailer, which is anticipated to see an online release in the New Year.

The trailer reportedly concludes with a tagline reading, "Steve Rogers will return in Avengers: Doomsday," followed by December 2026 and a countdown to the film’s release. The scooper also confirmed that Chris Hemsworth’s Thor will feature in one of the upcoming trailers.

Marvel Studios reportedly chose to start with Steve Rogers instead of Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom, according to another insider, My Time To Shine Hello.

The four Doomsday trailers are "four short scenes," each of which focuses on a distinct character, according to the insider. Steve appears in the first trailer, which depicts the Avenger "riding home on a bike," carrying a "baby boy."

The release dates for Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars are December 18, 2026, and December 17, 2027, respectively.
